The Department focuses on creating a South Africa where citizens can enjoy greater economic and social prosperity through leveraging 4IR technologies.

FCGA
Fibre Council Global Alliance
Digital Council Africa is one of five closely cooperating organisations representing the Fibre to the Home industry across Europe, the Americas, Middle East and North Africa, and Asia-Pacific. The FCGA collaborates on topics of interest within the fibre community, including publishing a Global Definition of Terms.

Digital Skills Ecosystem
A not-for-profit organisation fostering collaboration and targeted solutions to amplify digital skills throughout South Africa. Through a longstanding partnership with the South African government, The Collective X actively shapes the national digital skills strategy and influences policy decisions across the sector.

ACT
Association of Comms & Technology
Registered in 2021, ACT focuses on ecosystem matters important for the broader ICT sector and provides a unified voice for industry in the South African economy. ACT's work spans regulatory advocacy, infrastructure protection, digital roadmap development, green economy adoption, and practical energy solutions for the sector and country.

COMRiC
Telecommunications Risk Information Centre
An association formed for the collaboration of key stakeholders within the telecommunications industry to reduce crime and monitor risk in a meaningful and sustainable manner. COMRiC is a risk information centre that promotes business continuity and resilience, creating a safe zone for all those who benefit from services provided by the telecoms sector.

MICT SETA
Sector Education & Training Authority
A public entity established under the Skills Development Act, strategically leading the MICT sector skills development system. The MICT SETA plays a pivotal role in South Africa's skills development and economic growth across Advertising, Film and Electronic Media, Electronics, Information Technology, and Telecommunications.
NEPAD Business Foundation
Business Partnership
A non-profit organisation championing development programmes through public and private sector partnerships for Africa's economic development. Through MoUs with the African Union, NEPAD Agency, and SADC Secretariat, the NBF implements interventions complementing government development efforts across the continent.

SALGA
South African Local Government Association
An autonomous association of all 257 South African local governments, representing local government interests within the broader system of government. SALGA actively participates in intergovernmental relations, provides common policy positions, and offers solutions to challenges facing local government.

ICT SMME Chamber
NGO for Small ICT Business Development
An NGO engaging with government and ICT stakeholders, lobbying on behalf of small ICT businesses for development and sector transformation. The SMME sector accounts for 14% of total employment and contributes 42% of GDP — the Chamber works to maximise these numbers through advisory services and stakeholder communication.

CISPE
European IaaS Trade Association
A non-profit trade association for infrastructure as a service (IaaS) cloud providers in Europe, established to aid IaaS providers in explaining their business model to policymakers.
